Clarion Logistics Limited (“Clarion”) is registered with the Personal Data Protection Commission of Tanzania. This policy explains what happens to information when you visit www.clariontz.com.

1. About this website

This website is informational. It describes Clarion’s clearing, forwarding, freight and transport services and how to contact us. It has no forms, no user accounts and no login, and we do not use analytics or advertising tools.

2. Contact details and enquiries

Our email address and telephone numbers are shown on the site. When you select the email address, your own email application opens; nothing is sent to us until you send a message from that application. When you select a telephone number, your own phone application opens.

If you write to us, we receive the information you include, such as your name, email address, telephone number and message. Our staff handle email enquiries, and we use what you send to reply and, where you ask for our services, to provide them. We keep enquiries for as long as is reasonably necessary to handle them and to meet applicable business and legal record-keeping requirements; there is no fixed period.

3. Technical information handled by providers

Like any website, visiting this one involves technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device details, and the pages or files requested. Depending on what you view, this information may be handled by different providers:

• Hosting and delivery. The site is hosted on Render and delivered through Cloudflare, so these providers handle the requests made to load our pages and files.
• Google Fonts. Our typefaces load automatically from Google (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). These requests disclose your IP address and browser details to Google, along with the address of our website as the referring site.
• OpenFreeMap. The Contact map requests map data from OpenFreeMap (tiles.openfreemap.org). This happens when the map loads: when you open the Contact section, or straight away if you open the site at its Contact address. These requests disclose your IP address and browser details to OpenFreeMap, along with the address of our website as the referring site. Map data is from OpenStreetMap contributors.

No cookies were observed in our checks of these requests. We cannot see how these providers use or keep the information they receive, and they are subject to their own policies.

4. Cookies and browser storage

This website does not set cookies. It saves two small presentation preferences in your own browser: one remembers that the Company Profile button has already been shown, and one, kept only for the current tab, remembers that the introductory animation has played. They are not designed to identify you, and our site does not send them to us. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings; the site works without them and the animations then play again.

5. Security

We use measures appropriate to a static website, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restrictions on what content the site may load, and publishing only the files the site needs. No system is completely secure.

6. Your rights and privacy enquiries

Clarion has appointed a Data Protection Officer. If you have a privacy question, or a request concerning your personal data, contact us at aasim@clariontz.com. We will deal with it subject to applicable law, including Tanzania’s Personal Data Protection Act, 2022. For general enquiries, contact info@clariontz.com.
